There is a cryptic quote in David Lynch’s Twin Peaks: ‘Owls are not what they seem’, and there is truth in that. A train that’s actually a hotel room, a tree with human legs, and a flower masquerading as some kind of mutant insect remind us that our first impressions can be misleading – if not entirely wrong.
1. Oil dripped into water looks like an eye.
2. “This tree is on top of the ground”.
3. ” This piece of peeling paint looks like a dinosaur.”
4. “The sun makes a Halloween mop.”
5. “The hotel I stayed in used to be a train station and had a real train in it, with rooms in each carriage.”
6. “These young coniferous cones look like chewing gum or clay balls.”
7. “Guys, something weird is going on with this extension cord I found.”
8. “This house is scowling with rabbit teeth.”
9. “A Febreze scented plug alarmed me this morning.”
10. “The neighbors made a whale-shaped bush in our beach house, complete with blowhole.”
11. “I jumped when I first saw it because I thought it was a bug.”
12. “This building in Minneapolis is actually 2 buildings that were built a few years apart. Notice the extra floor on the right.”
13. “My friend has a runny nose. Does anyone know how to stop it?”
14. This is the Doritos stone
15. Teeth? No, peppers.
